Article ImageThis month, we are excited to recognize Sarah Mowitz. Sarah has been with the YWRC as the Volunteer and Office Coordinator since May 2016. Her responsibilities are vast and varied, including coordinating the transportation, volunteer orientation and office organization. 
“My favorite part of my job is working with our Transportation Specialists, Childcare Coordinator and volunteer team. I am so lucky to get to coordinate such a passionate and reliable group of people.”

Maeve Morrow, a member of the YWRC's Sheroes group, recently traveled to Washington D.C. for the first time to participate in the Women's March. In this new blog post, Maeve shares about her journey and what it means to her to have been a part of the movement.

Louise Noun Library Unveiling and DSM Girl Gang Art Show

Ribbon cutting and program at 6:30 p.m.

The YWRC is excited to open founder Louise Noun's personal library to the public at this ribbon cutting event. Also at this event is the opening of a DSM Girl Gang art show that will be on exhibit throughout the YWRC. Each work in this show has been inspired by book in Louise's collection.

Babies Need Boxes 'Stock the Box' Drive
February 20 - March 3
The YWRC is partnering with the Iowa chapter of Babies Need Boxes to provide our Young Moms with Baby Boxes. Baby Boxes are a safe and proven way to lower infant mortality rate during sleep, provide care products and connect parents with comprehensive education. Help us stock these boxes! Items can be dropped off during normal YWRC hours.
