Dear Friends of The Antioch Partners (TAP),
As we all prepare our hearts and minds to celebrate the birth of Jesus, know we (the TAP Support Staff Team) are praying for each of you. We are thanking God for you, and asking God to give each of you new insights into this “good news of great joy” that is for all the peoples of the earth!
Giving Thanks and Looking Forward
As I reflect on what God has done through TAP in 2016, I praise God for his faithfulness, and I thank God for the privilege of serving each Partner (missionary) and their sending churches. As we’re all aware, 2016 has been a year of much upheaval – the continuing global refugee crisis, destruction on a staggering scale in places like Aleppo, political crises that have gripped entire nations like Brazil, etc. Yet, in the midst of all this, God is at work. For example, in Brazil God is growing the Brazilian church, and the church in Brazil continues to send out missionaries all over the world, including difficult places like the Middle East.
One family serving through TAP in Brazil (the Dunn family) is serving with a Brazilian mission organization called SEPAL. God is using SEPAL to strengthen and empower Christian leaders in Brazil, as well as to send out and support Brazilian missionaries. Some of these Brazilian missionaries are business people who are using their business skills in places like the Middle East and Central Asia where there are few Christians and few churches … and they are having an amazing Kingdom impact. Tim Dunn’s primary focus is serving these Brazilian missionaries who are operating businesses, and helping to raise-up more of these cutting edge missionaries. It’s a privilege for us to be serving missionaries like the Dunn’s. If you would like to join the Dunn’s support team, or support any other TAP Partners, contact Teri Adair (firstname.lastname@example.org) and she’ll connect you, or your church, with a Partner.
As we look to 2017, we urge you to continue praying Matthew 9:37 with us, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Whether we’re talking about here in the US, or the Middle East, or South Asia … the harvest is plentiful. There are billions of people who don’t know Jesus and who have never had the opportunity to hear this “good news of great joy” that is for all peoples of the earth. Ask God to raise up many more workers, and pray God will connect us with those he wants to serve through TAP.
As 2016 comes to a close, your prayer and financial support continue to be vitally important for TAP, just as it is for TAP Partners, and I invite you to continue praying for TAP and all the Partners. If you have partnered financially with TAP, thank you! If you have not partnered financially with us, I encourage you to prayerfully consider making a year-end contribution. If God leads you to partner financially with TAP, you can contribute by check or online. Checks should be made payable to The Antioch Partners and mailed to (note “Operating Fund” in memo line of check):
