THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
Thanks to Brian Williams of Trees Atlanta and our amazing volunteers including AmeriCorps and Volunteer Emory for planting 1700 live erosion control stakes in just 3 hours on Saturday morning. It was a beautiful morning to do meaningful work.
While the live stakes are only sticks today, in 1-2 weeks they
will begin sprouting along 4 sections of Peachtree Creek’s bank in Memorial Park, spreading their roots. Please be sure to keep an eye on the most visible section, west of the Northside Drive bridge, as the live stakes begin to grow.
Let’s continue to make a difference and do what we can to help. AMPC’s next event is participation in Chattahoochee Riverkeeper’s annual Sweep the Hooch Volunteer Day on April 9, 2016. To volunteer, click here.
