From Councilmember Yolanda Adrean:  "As many of you know, legislation has been introduced that proposes to transfer the Bobby Jones golf course and clubhouse to the state. Since this is such an important issue and would have a direct impact on District 8, I have asked the Mayor and representatives from the state to hold a public information meeting for people to learn more about the proposed transfer and related changes to the golf course and clubhouse."

Have you ever wondered why a section of the Article ImageBeltline through Tanyard Creek Park is stained purple this time of year?  Have you seen fallen berries along the nature trail in Memorial Park and wondered if they're edible?  These sweet berries (pictured to the right) belong to the Mulberry tree, a favorite among the many birds in our park.  
 
On May 14th, thanks to EcoAddendum's Kathryn Kolb, Jessica Muhammad and Lisa Frank, participants learned about our parks' flora and fauna and caught glimpses of, listened to and learned the beautiful and distinctive sounds various birds make as they stop by Memorial Park on their journey elsewhere.
