Calendar of Giving -- August 2015

Our monthly Calendar of Giving offers supporters an easy opportunity to get involved. The items featured are difficult to find in Cambodia or too expensive for our teachers and students to obtain. The Calendar of Giving is open to supporters worldwide, and your collection campaign can be big or small. Remember, every donation counts!

August Collection Campaign:   Backpacks

Our backpack collection program ensures that our students have a clean, reliable way to transport their school supplies to and from school. Without a backpack, students use plastic bags or squares of cloth to carry supplies. Backpacks promote a student's sense of self-esteem and encourage good learning practices by showing that books and supplies are important.

With over 6,400 students entering our school doors every day, we need a lot of backpacks!

Caring from afar....
No matter where you live in the world, you can join in the spirit of giving with our Calendar of Giving without having to collect physical items or worry about international shipping costs. With your donation, CFC staff will be able to purchase the items directly in Siem Reap. By donating on-line, your gift benefits Cambodia twice - once by directly helping kids and once by benefiting the local economy!

To make a monetary donation to our August Calendar of Giving, please click here. CFC staff will purchase appropriate backpacks locally in Siem Reap. A contribution of USD$20 will be directed towards the purchase of a suitable backpack for one CFC student.
