Partner of the Week:  Target.
Not only do our friends at Target take at least a day a year to help us build, they donate gift cards so that we may purchase water for our volunteers. Nothing is more important to us than making sure our volunteers are safe and having fun, and that includes keeping everyone well hydrated, particularly during these, our warmest days.  THANK YOU, TARGET TEAM!

A Weekend of Delicious Food
in Support of Habitat!
Thank you, St. Mark's!
You won't have to make supper this weekend AND you'll be supporting your local Habitat and the great riders of the Habitat 500!  First off, eat a light lunch on Saturday so you have room for a delicious rigatoni dinner and fundraiser at the Aurora Community Center.  This family-friendly event is being sponsored by our friends at St. Mark's Lutheran Church and all proceeds will support our Habitat 500 fundraiser! That means all proceeds stay on the Range and will help us partner with our SIX 2019 partner families.  A mere $8, free for children 5 and under, gets you a great meal while you share the fellowship of other Habitat supporters.  We hope to see you there!
 Thank you, "EFree"!
Then, on Sunday morning, have a light breakfast in preparation for the ANNUAL GUMBO FEED, sponsored by our friends at the Evangelical Free Church of Embarrass.  Chef Nathan Thompson's delicious gumbo is legandary, and all we are asking is a free will donation.  You will be too full to want supper!
You are warmly invited to come at 10:30 and join in worship, or just drop by at noon and dig in.  Again, all proceeds support our Habitat riders in their efforts to raise funds for our Iron Range communities' neighbors in need.  This year, Nathan is riding for the SIXTEENTH time and his youngest daughter, Marjie, will join him again for her eighth!  She has truly grown up on the ride!  E-Free Church members John and Deb Filander and Phyllis Ruper are also joining in on the bike riding fun to support Habitat this year!
Can't attend either one?  But want to add your support?  Easy as pie!  Click here and just note in the comments if you are supporting a particular rider.  Thank you!
Then, Save the Date for the big Hog Roast!!

You'll want to eat lightly again on Wednesday, July 10th, when our great friends of the Laurentian Conference Congregations are hosting an ALL YOU CAN EAT HOG ROAST!  Join us at 5 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, just off 169 in Mountain Iron, for an evening of food, fun, music and worship!  A free will offering, with a suggested donation of $20, is all that is asked and, in return, enjoy the best pulled pork sandwiches you have ever tasted, with baked beans, cole slaw, corn on the cob and a fabulous variety of cookies and bars.  There will even be cotton candy for the kids and us "kids at heart"!  All proceeds will again stay on our beloved Iron Range and help us, as a community, make ourselves and our neighbors stronger as we build homes, communities and hope!
