Affordable Housing in Minnesota a Challenge
As a Habitat supporter, you already know we are working toward our vision of "a world where everyone has a decent place to live."  Sadly, we also know we are nowhere near to achieving this goal.  Therefore, we are deeply grateful to Governor Mark Dayton and his Task Force on Housing for their work demonstrating the ongoing need we face here in our state.  In case you didn't see the press, the Governor’s Task Force on Housing is a nonpartisan group of housing advocates and experts from across Minnesota.  This task force was created by executive order last December and has since reviewed existing housing strategies that serve Minnesotans well while also identifying gaps in the system. Their final report recommends 30 action steps aimed at improving access to quality, affordable housing for Minnesotans and building a more vibrant, inclusive economic future for all Minnesotans.
