Partner of the Week:  Up North Title
We thank our friend and board member, Linda Scott, and her great assistant, Jessica, for their work getting families like the Martins all their documentation and paperwork in order so that they may close on their new homes.  And this valuable work is done pro bono, saving your affiliate money that can instead be spent building more homes!  Please support our great partners and thank them for their work strengthening our communities!

OR Join our Newsletter Mailing Crew!
We know not all of our supporters are willing or able to help build.  But we also have our fun newsletter mailing event coming up next Friday, August 17th as well!  Starting at 9 a.m. with coffee an' in our office building at 5558 Enterprise Drive NE, we'll get our summer 2018 newsletter ready for mailing while visiting with friends and our fellow Habitat supporters.  A delicious pizza lunch is provided and we are generally done by mid afternoon.  Please reply to this email or call Susan at 218-750-2611 to let her know you are coming.   After all, we want to be sure to have plenty of food!
Could This Be Your Family?  Or the Family of a Friend?
We are still looking for the rest of our 2019 families!
Jay and Krista Martin, new home owners, at their closing!
Yes, the Martin family of Virginia are officially new home owners!  They each put in at least 200 hours of sweat equity and recruited another 100 hours from their friends and family.  As part of that work, they also attended classes which will help them succeed.  We are so excited for them and their children as they start this new chapter of their lives, having broken the cycle of poverty through accepting a hand UP from Habitat.
We are currently filling up our 2019 Habitat partner family slots and would love to hear from you or your friends who qualify as the Martins did.  There are just the three criteria:  need for housing, willingness to partner and ability to pay for a simple, decent and affordable home.  Reply to this email or call us at 218-749-8910 to learn more! Or click HERE to print out an application!
