Irma, Empowerment Specialist, gives a peek into what it's like to participate in two of our Summer Program Clubs: Mind + Movement and Mariposa. The YWRC Empowerment Team quickly adapted our traditional Summer Program into interest-based virtual clubs so participants can continue to learn and connect.

Save the date for one of Des Moines' favorite events and plan to join us as we feature local celebrities, often in costume, hosting guests for a delicious three-course meal in support of the YWRC’s mission - all for only $45/guest. (We will closely monitor our community's social distancing practices and needs to ensure a safe event.)

Provide Critical Need Items
The YWRC continues to provide critical items for local girls and young women including menstrual products, shampoo, diapers, laundry detergent, diapers and more. YOU can help ensure their needs are met by making a donation of critical need items.
Please arrange a drop-off time with Cindy via email or by calling 515.244.4901. Or, you can have items shipped directly to our office at 818 5th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309.
