Thank you to all who supported our end of financial year appeal and assisted in many ways at our recent events. At the same time, we are grateful to let you know that with community support, we recently passed a milestone of having provided over 14,000 nights’ safe accommodation to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence.
Our clients come to us from a range of socio-economic circumstances and diverse cultures; some from within our immediate community and others escaping to the northern suburbs for safety. Recently, we accommodated several women with young children needing sanctuary at Mary’s House refuge; providing crisis accommodation at such a vulnerable time is one of the ways our service helps to break cycles of domestic violence and abuse.
And our outreach service the Daisy Centre provides a safe and welcoming space for our work with women living in the community. For our newer subscribers: the Daisy Centre offers a range of therapeutic and wellbeing programs, and clinics including safety planning, legal and financial. Approximately 30% of Daisy Centre program enrolments are clients who are also being supported by our expert social workers, and 55% of our Daisy Centre program clients attend more than one program. |

We have been buoyed by the recent generosity of our community and new corporate partners as well as donors who have been standing with us since we first opened our doors. Your ongoing support and understanding of the significant need in the community helps us run a best practice service. Please continue to support us with your generous one-off gifts or consider committing to a regular donation to our work – it is only thanks to community generosity that we can help so many women and children.

ABOUT US
Mary’s House Services was established in 2016, when motivated members of the community on Sydney’s north shore agreed to take direct, affirmative action on the issue of domestic violence to save lives. Mary’s House Services provides accommodation and professional wrap around services for women and their children escaping domestic abuse that enables our clients to be safe, hopeful and empowered to take the first steps in rebuilding their lives.
Our domestic and family abuse service delivery is 100% community funded and relies on the support of our local community and corporate partners. |
