Spring is in full swing here at IAALS, with several projects nearing release and a slate of virtual events on the horizon, and we’re thrilled to announce that Andrew Arruda has joined us as our first-ever Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Andrew has been indispensable to our work since he first joined our Board of Advisors in 2019, and we are excited for him to step into this more official position and have a larger role in our work.

With his history of entrepreneurship, wealth of expertise, and boundless enthusiasm, Andrew brings the spirit of innovation that IAALS has always championed when fostering change in the justice system. This game-changing addition to our staff will undoubtedly help IAALS achieve even greater impact during a time when our work is more important than ever.

Registration is now open for the Unbundled Legal Services in the New Normal Virtual Conference!

IAALS, The Chicago Bar Foundation, the ABA Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services, and the Self-Represented Litigation Network (SRLN) are hosting a three-day virtual educational event that will focus on the major hows and whys of supporting and implementing the practice of unbundled legal services both during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sessions will offer content relevant to members of the private bar, legal aid, legal academics, judicial officers, court administrators, those involved with court-annexed projects, and other interested parties. This conference, available at no charge for registration, will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss concerns, share success stories, and explore new ideas with colleagues and peers. Our national outreach has invited a broad audience to participate in the program.
