October was a very busy month here at IAALS, with the Law Firm Council Breakfast on October 21, the Executive Committee Meeting on October 25, and the Board of Advisors Retreat last Tuesday and Wednesday. It was a pleasure to meet so many of IAALS' partners in creating a more accessible and efficient justice system, especially from such a variety of backgrounds. From its inception, IAALS has been committed to putting people at the center of its work, and we appreciate the many contributions of and the insights from the professionals who make up our Board and partners.

We also recently launched two of the projects we've been hard at work on
Think Like a Client, a report using data provided by Avvo.com that provides insight into what clients look for in attorneys, and Unlocking Legal Regulation, a project that will lay the foundation for a consumer-centered regulatory system to ensure a more robust market for high-quality legal services. These projects can help attorneys better serve their clients and, more broadly, help our legal system better serve the public.

I hope you'll join us on our mission.
