We are excited to feature Shannissy Catron in this month's spotlight. Shannissy has been working with the YWRC as part of our Better Beginnings Doula Program doulas since 2017.

“Shannissy does an amazing job at meeting clients where they are in their pregnancy and postpartum journey’s. It’s very common to see Shannissy spending extra hours with clients helping them make birth affirmation banners, educating them on their choices, teaching them how to advocate for themselves and empowering them that their voices matter in pregnancy, birth and parenting.

Summer Program Lunches

Provide lunches for our Summer Program Participants to enjoy
during group! We need volunteers to donate 10 lunches per day. Lunches should include a sandwich or wrap, a fruit or veggie option, chips or a cookie/dessert, and an individually contained drink.

This is a great project to do as a group. Providing meals and snacks during our programs is one way we work towards food security. Six Summer Program groups are offered (for free) and begin on June 13.
