As we prepare for the new year, we’d like to thank you for joining us here and for being invested in what’s going on with our local youth.

As you know, this newsletter is a way for us to share about our programs, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, community news, and ways you can support participants. 32 individual donors raised $5,425 on GivingTuesday! Whether it's $5, $15, or $50, your gift expands existing services and provides new programs, including:
 
1. A new school-based program called Expect Respect that is designed to prevent violence and abuse by promoting healthy relationships,
 
2. A supportive place for young moms to work towards completing their high school education and
 
3. Additional groups and individual support to meet the increasing number of girls and young women in the community seeking resources, support, and mental health services.

You're invited to join the YWRC Gala: Growing Locally celebration on Saturday, April 9, 2022!
 
Join us for an evening full of delicious food, inspiring awards, enticing auction packages, and a powerful program that demonstrates how YOU empower local girls and young women to grow in confidence, self-esteem, and resiliency. Funds raised during the YWRC Gala will stay right here in our community and provide access to critical resources youth need to succeed.  
 
 
Get Involved
 
Know someone in Greater Des Moines making a difference for local girls and women? Celebrate them and their work by nominating them for the 2022 Louise Rosenfield Noun Visionary Award. 
 
In your nomination, we ask that you provide:
  1. a brief summary statement
  2. examples to support that statement, and
  3. any other information you'd like to include.
Nominations are due Thursday, January 6 and should not exceed three pages in length. We also include some optional prompts in the nomination guidelines.
