If you’ve been involved with our Young Moms program recently, chances are you know this month’s Staff Spotlight, Jewelz Smith. Jewelz is our Young Moms Specialist and Doula Program Coordinator.

You're invited to our 22nd annual YWRC Gala: Masquerade! We'll celebrate virtually with ticket options that include swag, raffle tickets, special print, three-course meals, party packs and more. AND, we'll be selling one-of-a-kind, limited edition masks featuring designs from local artists! We'll also honor YWRC participant awardees and two community members with Louise Rosenfield Noun Awards.

Students going into 6th - 12th grades for the 2021-2022 school year in Des Moines and surrounding areas are invited to join us for Summer Programs! Participants come together in a safe, inclusive environment for activities and discussions focusing on empowerment, advocacy, self-expression, feminism and body positivity. Summer Programs are FREE.

As we look forward to hosting in-person groups in the future, we need your help to make sure we are stocked with essentials. We are currently in need of: packs of pencils, pens, notebooks, scissors, glue sticks, travel size hand wipes and individual hand sanitizer.
