This month we are excited to celebrate a member of the YWRC community who is empowering youth to recognize the power of their voices, Sara Triplett! Sara works at Goodrell Middle School as a Behavior Strategist and is a co-facilitator for our Chrysalis Girls Group.
 
"I hope that today’s youth know how impactful their voices are – even if they don’t see results from it as quickly as they should. Stay curious, stay outspoken, stay pressed on us to do better.”

10 – 21 year old students in Des Moines and surrounding areas are invited to join us for two days of FREE virtual Empowerment Workshops! Participants can select from a list of workshops and supplies will be provided before March 16.

You're invited to join us for our 22nd annual YWRC Gala: Masquerade! We'll celebrate virtually with ticket options that include YWRC swag, raffle tickets, a special print, three-course meals, party packs and more. 
 
During the program, we'll honor two YWRC participants with WOW awards, as well as Dr. Barbara Adams for the Louise Rosenfield Noun Impact Award and Rekha Basu for the Louise Rosenfield Noun Visionary Award.

Food Pantry Organization
 
If sorting by expiration date, type and size are your thing - we've got the volunteer role for you! We are currently in need of volunteers to help organize and restock our food closet with recently received donations. It's hard to focus on your goals, like school work or building family relationships, if you are experiencing food insecurity. Providing food is one way we can help participants have their basic needs met.
