As we round out the calendar year, we are taking a moment to spotlight our current Board of Directors President, Lora McCollom, who joined the team in 2016 after being a long term supporter.

Save the Date: SATURDAY, APRIL 17, 2021
 
You're invited to join us for our 22nd annual YWRC Gala: Masquerade! We will be using a hybrid model for this event, providing guests with three ticket type options for celebration In-Person, House Party or Virtual Only. Proceeds raised will support the critical programming we provide to local girls and young women throughout Greater Des Moines.

Many of our participants were facing challenging home lives, tight family budgets, and anxiety or depression before COVID-19. YOU can make it possible for these local girls to have their basic needs met, to build relationships with trusted adults, and to have a safe space to navigate their mental health. Thanks to a generous matching gift, your donation can be DOUBLED if made by December 31.

New Item Donation Procedure Coming Soon!
 
In response to overwhelming community generosity, we will be implementing a new donation drop off procedure beginning in January.
 
Donation drop offs will be part of a new appointment-based program offered online through our website. Not only will donors will be able to see the items we accept and which are in high demand, but they will also be able to schedule a specific drop off date and time. Stay tuned!
