Tera Hamann is a vital part of the our community and we are excited to celebrate her this month! She has been with Broadlawns Medical Center for three years as an OB floor nurse and lactation consultant.
 
Tera has been a stellar resource for our Young Moms staff and participants and we are grateful for all she’s shared with us.

Registration for Empowerment After School groups is now open!
Groups will meet every other week online to connect, learn and have fun. As always, groups are FREE and supplies will be provided for activities.
 
Groups include 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades, High School, Mariposa, Black Girl Magic and FUN (Feminists Untied Now).

TWO WEEKS LEFT TO GET TICKETS!
 
This year's online event, held on Monday, October 5th, will include an uplifting program demonstrating the impact YOU can make while you enjoy a delicious three course dinner with your Server AND a special performance by the Brazilian 2wins.
 
Tickets include a meal pick up from  your choice of Centro, Django or Malo. Online event celebration with Servers at 7 p.m.

Many of our clients experience food insecurity. Providing meals and snacks continues to be a significant part of how we meet our participants' basic needs. While we've moved most programming to be held in a virtual space, we continue to provide pre-packaged meals for our Young Moms and After School snacks for Empowerment participants. ​
