an UPLIFTing evening 2023
Join the Uplift community on Thursday, May 4 for an UPLIFTing evening, a meaningful evening at Vie by Cescaphe that celebrates individuals making an impact in the lives of grieving children and families in Philadelphia! an UPLIFTing evening is Uplift's signature fundraising event, and annually brings in more than one-quarter of our general operating support.

This year, Uplift will honor Eileen R. Heisman, ACFRE, President and CEO of the National Philanthropic Trust and Danny Stein, R.N., MSN, PNP-ret., a dedicated Uplift volunteer since 2017.

Uplift Team Announcements
Family Access Clinical Coordinator Darcie Rudolf, MA, LPC, NCC recently received her LPC certification. As part of her certification process, Darcie completed two post-graduate courses, a certification exam, and 3,000 hours of clinical supervision, in addition to a one-year internship while working full time at Uplift. We are proud of Darcie for her determination in completing this significant achievement!

A PA Certified School Counselor, Darcie received her MA in Counseling Psychology from Arcadia University and a BA in English from the University of Scranton. Darcie's clinical work includes supporting children and their caregivers in school and community settings, as well as supporting individuals on the autism spectrum.

Uplift welcomed children and families to our space for our first Art Night since 2020. Led by Senior Clinician Chabeli Angeline Noval, MSW, LSW (on the right, guiding a youth participant), the event featured a weaving loom activity led by staff from Wild Hand, a fiber arts shop in Mount Airy. Snacks and drinks for attendees were generously provided by Uplift's Young Professionals Board, and all attendees were able to take home books from First Book and a blanket donated by staff at Spring House Estates, an Acts Retirement Life Community.
Senior Clinician Samantha Anthony, MA, NCC will present at the Highmark Caring Place 2023 Grief Talks Conference on Wednesday, February 1. This year's webinar theme is Tell Me About It: Real Conversations Around Grief and Loss and features interactive and engaging workshops facilitated by experts in the field with the goal of creating better grief-informed communities.

The 2023 Grief Talks Conference, which is free to attend and open to all, begins at 8:30 AM on Wednesday with a keynote from author, public speaker, and podcast host Nora McInerny. Join Samantha for her presentation at 2:30 PM on Grief Support and How It Supports Academic Performance, and visit Highmark Caring Place's website to learn about other panels at the conference.

Dorothy Flynn, President, Corporate Issuer Solutions at Broadridge, has been named as Chair of Uplift's Board of Directors. An Uplift board member since 2019, Dorothy is joined by incoming board leadership:
