Go WILD! Gala 2018
Saturday, June 23 - 6:00 - 9:30
Tulalip Resort Casino, Orca Ballroom - Marysville, WA
Tickets are now on sale and we are gathering some unique items for our silent auction. If you would like to contribute an item to the auction, please email
us to discuss. We will be holding another raffle and our Grand Prize is a Holland America 7-day cruise package
. There are many great trips and items being added to the raffle prizes as well. Come meet our resident raptors, mingle during our "happy hour" and share drinks and appetizers, then enjoy a delicious meal.
Join us for our wildlife "adoptions" and our silent auction to help us raise funds to continue our work.
If you cannot attend the gala, you can still contribute by buying a ticket to sponsor one of our volunteers. We have already had a couple of tickets purchased for this purpose, Thank YOU!! If you own a local business and would like to sponsor the event in some way, we have many levels of participation. Wildlife rehabilitation is a community effort and we are grateful to everyone for their support - your contributions make it possible for us to continue to help the patients brought to us for care.
We showed you this Northern pygmy owl last month. She was hit by a car, but recovered and was released. 2. Here is a photo of her at the release location. You can also see some video from the release if you click here
. (Thank you to Vickie for rescuing this owl and sharing her photos and footage with us.)
1. Our resident bobcat, Baxter waits patiently for his breakfast. You can see the snow piled up behind him. We have had LOTS of snow the past two weeks, several inches piled up. 2. This Red-tailed hawk is a juvenile. He was found on the ground at an abandoned house in a bunch of trash, and rescued by our staff. We treated him for emaciation and parasites. He is doing great now, and we will release him as soon as the weather permits. Note how "blonde" his markings are - he is really a beauty!
