the Department of Watershed Management
 
 
 
Join us for a virtual community meeting with the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) to update neighbors on the completion of the Pump Station at the intersection of Northside Drive and Woodward Way.  Updates will include odor control measures, the facade to enclose the structure, the re-pouring of the Beltline section, and a discussion on when the surrounding area will be re-opened to the public.
 
Two other DWM projects will also be covered.  The stormwater work underway along Havenridge Drive in the Haynes Manor neighborhood and the rehabilitation of the natural bio-filter located along the NW Beltline Connector at Woodward Way, near Alton Road.

150 Native Trees Added
to the 
NW Beltline Connector on Woodward Way!
 
               
 
 
AMPC would like to thank Trees Atlanta for partnering with AMPC to organize a great day of service to plant 150 trees along the NW Beltline Connector Trail.  A special shout-out goes to Cate Hughes of Trees Atlanta for coordinating the day and to the Peachtree Battle Alliance for providing coffee and treats donated by A Piece of Cake for our volunteers.  A variety of native trees were planted on March 20th including bald cypresses, red maples, river birches, and many more!

On March 27th, Atlanta Memorial Park was one of 54 sites that removed a total of 35 tons of trash and litter from the Chattahoochee River and its tributaries thanks to volunteers from Ruby-Collins, ZWJ Investment Counsel, the Buckhead Chapter of the Young Men's Service League, AMPC, and staff and board members from the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.  An extra thank you goes out to Ruby-Collins for their help in assisting AMPC with removing the trash.  A job well done!
