February 2021

Chairperson's Message

At the start of this New Year, it is hard not to feel a wave of relief at the prospect of global vaccine rollouts and the return of stability to Washington.

At the Don Dunstan Foundation, we have been working diligently to help transition the successful Adelaide Zero Project backbone function to the Project Partners.

We are proud of the way our thought leadership on this project supported SA's housing responses during the COVID-19 pandemic and look forward to releasing the Adelaide Zero Project Impact Report shortly. This document will celebrate the Project's achievements, and articulate the important lessons learnt, as well as demonstrating best practice and informing reform in Australia and further afield through our network of Thinkers and advocates.

This year we will create impact in different ways.
Specifically, a major focus will be investing resources in partnership with the Flinders University Library to better utilise and enliven access to the Dunstan Collection.

This is an ideal year to work with volunteers in small groups to ensure that an important resource is accessible. We know that we can’t go back to business as normal, but we can continue to invest in promoting a tangible legacy to inform, inspire and lead change.

My best wishes for the coming year
