Dear Friends of the Antioch Partners (TAP),
Greetings to you this Holy Week! As we move towards Good Friday and Easter, I pray for each of you, as well as for all the TAP Partners (missionaries) and myself, that we will all set aside adequate time for listening prayer during these days. Listening prayer where we can be quiet in God’s presence and fully attentive to God’s still, small voice. Space that allows us to distinguish between the many voices clamoring for our attention, and the one voice we most need to hear ... God’s voice.
A Growing Community
As the number of TAP Partners (missionaries) continues to grow (there are now 49 TAP Partners who have been appointed for service), we praise God for this growth and we also praise God for each of you through whom God is working to make all this happen. Each TAP Partner is supported by a community of churches and individuals that have responded to God’s call to serve as senders, so it’s exciting to see God raising-up so many people within the body of Christ working together to send and support this movement of cross-cultural servants.
I wish I could introduce you to all these TAP Partners, but since that is not possible, I’ll introduce you to one of our most recent Partners. I’ll call her Ashley (not her real name) and she will be returning to South Asia this summer for long-term service. Ashley is from a Presbyterian church in the southern part of the US and she’s an amazing woman. God has given her a passion for serving women who have been trafficked and involved in prostitution. Ashley spent two years serving in South Asia among this population and she saw God at work in many ways among these women. Given the intensity of her work, she returned to the US for a time of renewal and additional preparation. Now she is ready to go back and her home church is fully-supportive, as is TAP (she was appointed as a TAP Partner earlier this year). Ashley will be serving with a team composed primarily of local Christians in her context who are reaching out to these women (and their children) that God loves so deeply. If you would pray for Ashley as she finishes raising her support, gets everything ready for her departure, and returns to South Asia this summer, that would be a wonderful blessing.
Another Way to Partner with TAP: Amazon Smile
In addition to praying for Ashley and all the TAP Partners, there are other ways you can partner with us as well, including using Amazon. Amazon has a FREE charitable program called Amazon Smile that offers the same low prices, broad selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com with the added bonus that Amazon will donate ½ of one percent of your purchase price to TAP. This is a great way for you generate more financial resources to help us serve Partners better. In order to sign up for Amazon Smile, all you have to do is:
- Go to smile.amazon.com
- Search for The Antioch Partners and select A Partners as your designated charitable organization
- Bookmark Amazon Smile so that you can quickly access the site. You’re Done!
Just remember to begin your Amazon shopping from smile.amazon.com, because shopping from the Amazon website (amazon.com), Amazon apps, Kindle, and other affiliate apps won’t count. Any item on Amazon can be purchased from Amazon Smile, however, only items that say "Eligible for donation" in their product information benefit The Antioch Partners (A Partners).
Thank you in advance for helping us in this way!
