Meet 2013 Graduates Lily & Spencer
Lily is a cheerful 8-year-old who, like other girls her age, loves rocks on the beach, family, coloring, Play Dough and her special Home Companion Dog Spencer.  Lily and Spencer were one of eight life-changing partnerships Summit created in 2013 and honored at our graduation ceremony Jan. 12 in Bellevue.
Lily lives with severe seizures, the result of Porencephaly, which means “hole in
the brain.” She was diagnosed at just four months of age, and has had to deal
with medication side effects, new diets and anything else that can possibly
reduce seizures.  Lily's parents rest much easier knowing that Spencer will alert them to a seizure when they are not in the room.
To show their gratitude for this special dog, Lily’s family raised $12,000 to donate
to Summit.  We are so grateful for their support and so happy to provide Lily this important partner in her life.
