Attention Graduates
Graduates of Facility Management Accredited Degree Programs are eligible to receive the IFMA Facility Management Graduate (FMG) Designation and Digital Badge. The FMG designation gives graduates of FM Accredited Degree Programs in good standing a special recognition for their completion of a post-secondary program in facility management. Most importantly, IFMA and the IFMA Foundation recognize the specific qualifications and skills that graduates of the FM Accredited Degree Programs possess.

IFMA Foundation Launches New FM Career Video 
Tired of trying to explain what Facility Managers do?
This short video was created to attract students and incumbent workers to careers in Facility Management (FM).
It is meant to be shared with schools, community organizations, companies, government agencies and anyone interested in learning about exciting careers in FM. 
The best way for students to learn about facility management is to hear about it from someone who has done it. That’s why the FM Career Ambassador kit was developed in partnership with ImageMediaSodexo and the IFMA Foundation. If you are interested in becoming an FM Career Ambassadors, join our community of speakers.
IFMA Foundation Academic Scholarships Available 
Deadline April 30, 2021
  • The individual scholarships range in value from US$1,500 to $10,000 and are awarded to undergraduate (2-year and 4-year) and graduate students enrolled in facility management or FM-related (built environment) programs.
  • Along with the scholarship, students are given complimentary registration to IFMA's World Workplace Conference & Expo; providing them the opportunity to network and build relationships with leading FM professionals. The award also includes full student registration for the conference. 
  • Winning recipients have the opportunity to participate in the IGNITEFM! Student Challenge sponsored by FM:Systems. The winning team receiving a financial prize and recognition of their presentation.

Through the generosity of IFMA Fellow Eric Teicholz, the IFMA Foundation is offering scholarship opportunities to individuals interested in earning their Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) certification in 2020.
  • Young professionals currently in facility management or related field with a demonstrated financial need. Young professional members of IFMA Chapters and IFMA Councils are encouraged to apply
  • Application will be available Jan 2, 2021.
  • Applications are due by 5:00 pm CST, Friday, July 16, 2021.
  • Announcement of winners will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021
Facility Management Talent Development Pipeline Program (TDP) 
Women in FM Program Introduced by the IFMA Foundation and Hot Bread Kitchen
The IFMA Foundation and Hot Bread Kitchen are proud to come together to increase opportunities for women in the fast-growing, high earning field of facility management.  In partnership with the New York City Chapter of IFMA, together we are putting women on a path for economic security and mobility, expanding connections and opening doors for our job seekers.
Hot Bread Kitchen is a leader in workforce development with a focus on racial equity. Hot Bread Kitchen brings a 10-year history of providing social services, skills coaching, job placement and entrepreneurship programming as well as a vast connections and employer relationships.
This program creates opportunities for women and people of color who might not otherwise be able to access these positions. The facility management field is 93% men and 7% women. Hiring Hot Bread Kitchen program graduates not only help them begin their careers in facility management, but also fills a needed talent gap and enhances the local workforce and economy as a whole. This also gives employers the opportunity to diversify their workforce. 
Program participants receive extensive training to prepare them for careers in facility management. The program also emphasizes the professional readiness and soft skills that are critical to long-term success. Together, we work with employers to identify the best candidates for open positions, ensuring that hires stay and grow with their company for years to come.

The IFMA Foundation proudly presents the Facility Management (FM) Registered Apprenticeship Program for Veterans approved by the US Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship in the states of Colorado, California, and Texas and growing. 
Be the First to Access Quality FMs Who are Veterans and Have the Knowledge to Help Your Company Succeed!
FM apprentices will be required to complete a paid apprenticeship as part of this program. IFMA courses and certifications provides the education foundation and coupled with critical job experience, veterans will be well prepared for a job in facility management.  You can use this program to test-drive the talent, support the community and take advantage of experienced professionals.

The IFMA Foundation is pleased to introduce the latest facility management (FM) certificate program, offered at State Fair Community College.  Data shows a high employer demand for FM work and skill sets in this region.    We’d like to thank the Kansas City Chapter of IFMA and FM Instructor and IFMA Fellow Teena Shouse for meeting the demand for skilled labor in FM.
This brand-new facilities management program is a perfect example of how State Fair Community College, the Kansas City Chapter of IFMA and local and statewide employers can partner in preparing students with in-demand skills that lead to promising careers.
