Goings On... 
Eveyone took a lot of "shots" this season - set goals and went after them - and we are so proud of the effort and energy that you all poured into all that you do with El Grupo. THANK YOU! 
Over the next few weeks, things slow down a bit, focus shifts to finishing up the school year strongly, and we look forward to a super fun summer. Of course, there are still some cool events (below) coming up to enjoy this month, too. 

Speaking of are the latest and final plans/dates. 
  • Summer Bike Camp dates: June 2-6, June 9-13, July 21-25. We will need many of you age 14 and older to work (and get paid!) for these camps. All younger riders will be welcome to volunteer work. More details will be emailed this week.
  • USA Cycling Road Selection Camp (A team 17-18 boys only) in Flagstaff: June 8-13 (Confirmed & registered: Ben, Keenan, Christian, Logan, Daniel, Nick)
  • USA Cycling Talent ID Camp in Flagstaff: June 15-20 (Confirmed & registered: Chloe, Maya, Tyler)
  • Durango/Ft Lewis MTB Camp: June 15-22 (Confirmed: Sam, Isabel, Ana, Madison, Leila, Kajeme, Newben, Genea, Matthew, Unai, Kyle) - Still need to hear from Colter, Connor, Collin, Julian (and my apologies if I missed you or you told me otherwise, please correct me - NOT intentional!)
Events Upcoming... 
South Mountain TT - Ladies Only WoCAA event, Sat. May 10th: This is the last of the WoCAA series, and currently El Grupo is in the lead for teams! All EG girls will be going up to this event for the fun of hanging together (and climbing South Mountain in Phoenix!) 
Pie Party! - Saturday, May 10th 3pm-6pm: This year's event put on by Food Conspiracy Co-op will benefit two local non-profits. Attendees will vote to choose which nonprofits will receive the proceeds from the evening. For each slice of pie attendees buy they will get one vote. Slices of pie will cost $3, or $5 for two slices. El Grupo is one of 6 nonprofits eligible. You can also enter pies into the contest - drop off pies btw 1-2pm. All takes place at Mercado San Augustin, 100 S Avenida del Convento. PLEASE plan on attending if you can, wear an EG t-shirt, and help with bike valet parking to make sure everyone there knows who we are and votes for us! 
May 18th - Southwest Hand Cycling Team & El Grupo Ride & Pool Party! Dr. Joel Thompson, our newest member to El Grupo's Board of Directors, head of the Southwest Hand Cycling Team, & top notch orthopedic surgeon at SW Shoulder Elbow & Hand Center is hosting a fun, challenging joint group ride early Sunday, May 18th around the NW and ending at his house in the foothills for food & pool time! Please mark your calendars (all riders) and more details will come soon.
Luna Lake Bike Tour, Springerville, AZ into New Mexico, May 23-26th: This is an ALL TEAM end of season 3-day bike tour and all will be encouraged to participate. PLEASE let me know ASAP if you are NOT planning on riding (youth riders) as I will be signing you all up unless I hear otherwise. We will all be leaving at different times on Friday, May 23rd to go up to Springerville, AZ. The riding starts Saturday morning from there and we are back in town on Monday evening, May 26th. Parents planning on riding - please register ASAP!

Tuition Reminder & Update... 
NEW! You can now set up "weekly" payments to make paying for your child's participation in El Grupo that much more manageable. 
You can make payments through our Donate button on the website and set up recurring payments. That is the easiest way to not forget each month - and it is secure. Please try to make your monthly contribution by the 15th of the month. Thank you!
If ever you have trouble paying one month, please communicate with Daniela about it.
