Encountering Christ Through the Bible
The Church and individual parishes have increasingly encouraged Catholics to read and study the Bible. Many Catholics, perhaps intimidated by the size and perceived complexity of the Bible, still limit their exposure to Scripture to the readings at Sunday Mass. But the Bible wasn’t meant to be read from cover to cover, and anyone can profit from delving into individual books, chapters, or even verses—especially by using an ancient practice known as lectio divina.

Small Community Ideas That Work:
Finding Our Strengths
Earlier this month we celebrated the feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower. She is a wonderful role model for all of us, but in many ways she speaks to the heart of small Christian communities in this regard: It is not always necessary to do great things, but to always do small things with great love.

All Souls' Day Prayer Requests
At RENEW International, prayer is very much a part of our lives. We gather and pray together to nourish and guide us as we work to fulfill our mission. On All Souls Day we will celebrate Mass in the RENEW chapel and remember those who have died. The names of our beloved deceased will remain on the altar and will be remembered in our Masses and prayer services throughout the month. We invite you to share the names of those you wish remembered.

Parish Provides Support and More to Inmates
For a group of men in a California prison, being incarcerated does not have to mean “out of sight, out of mind.” That’s thanks to the social justice ministries at the Cathedral of the Annunciation Parish in Stockton.
