Discovering God on a Summer Day in Central Park
Sr. Terry
Dear Friend,
All around us as we enjoy these summer days are reminders of the presence of God. Sights and sounds that we happen upon can evoke our gratitude for the many ways in which we are blessed. Our surroundings can also remind us of those who need our love, our attention, and our prayers.

Small Community Ideas that Work: Postcards
Many small groups meet in the spring and fall for six weeks, and for many reasons there is no opportunity to gather or even talk to or see each other between seasons.
With many people on vacation, at home or away from home, a colorful postcard with an “I’m thinking of you” expression can be a most welcome—and needed—blessing for the recipient.

New members of the Stephen Ministry are presented to the congregation at St. Stephen Cathedral in the Diocese of Owensboro.
ARISE Revives Kentucky Parish's Ministry Efforts
Along the Ohio River lies a bustling city with over sixty thousand people, the fourth largest city in Kentucky. This city, Owensboro, is home to St. Stephen Cathedral, a parish whose members have experienced a spiritual renewal thanks in part to ARISE Together in Christ, a faith-sharing process from RENEW International. One has only to look at the many new and revived ministry activities to notice this new-found vitality at St. Stephen.

ARISE has awakened the spirituality of our parishioners,’’ said Deacon Dirck Curry, who is the parish coordinator for ARISE.

On the Road with RENEW's Pastoral Services Team
RENEW International’s Pastoral Services Team is busy making final preparations before they head out to dioceses and parishes throughout the world. Team members will provide training and faith enrichment workshops as well as retreats to help parish leaders and participants successfully implement the variety of faith-sharing processes RENEW International offers for small Christian communities. We invite you to pray for our staff and the people in the dioceses they will be visiting.
