Don't do witness; BE a witness
Dear Friend,
 Article Image
The act of sharing your faith, being a witness to Christ, can be difficult, a bit scary, and sometimes risky. Recently a young mother shared with me how she took that risk in a very natural and authentic way. Amy admits that her faith used to be more cultural than a personal faith in Christ. But she now has a living faith and tries to give her crazy, busy life over to God each day with intention and joy. And what's more, she's sharing that faith with others.

Parish at historic church pioneers Be My Witness
Article ImageA parish that is housed in a 166-year-old church in New Jersey's largest city  is among the first parishes to enroll in Be My Witness/Sean mis testigos, a new offering from RENEW International for evangelization.
The congregation, comprising English- and Spanish-speaking parishioners, worships at St. Patrick Pro-Cathedral, Newark, where Fr. Bismark Chau (photo at right) is pastor. The church was dedicated in 1850 and soon became the cathedral when the Holy See created the Diocese of Newark, which included all of New Jersey.

Author discusses his path
to ´╗┐Creation at the Crossroads
Article ImageMonsignor Ed Ciuba talks to parishioners of Holy Trinity Parish in Westfield, N.J. about how his background as a scripture scholar led him to care deeply about how we care for the environment. After speaking, he signed copies of his book Creation at the Crossroads, a faith-sharing resource from RENEW International based on Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’. This event was one of several held at area churches where small faith-sharing groups are using the book.
