Make Lent a Pilgrimage
Sr. Terry
Dear Friend,
Life is a journey, not an experience to cling to but a passage to union with God. Lent helps us to continue on this journey trusting that God is with us at every step and blessing those we meet along the way.

Show Up With Our 'Yes'—Mary's Story
Mary, who lost her sight suddenly in adulthood, gains insight about her call to be a loving witness to Jesus in her parish and beyond.

Mary's story is part of a new video series from RENEW International entitled Turning Points: Witness Stories. The videos offer a way to help parishioners start a dialogue about faith with family and friends who have left the Church or who are religious “seekers.”
A video series is also available in Spanish as Cambios de rumbos: Historias de testigos.

Small-Community Ideas That Work: Storytelling
Embracing the reign of God, facing the challenge of conversion, and embarking on our spiritual journeys are frequently made possible through the storytelling that takes place in small communities. When men and women share faith stories, and their parish respects and values these stories, both the individuals and the parish community grow deeper in their faith life. In the large parish, there is often nowhere to tell the stories of our faith journeys; yet, it is clear that telling our stories, and listening to others’ stories, are valuable aids to interpreting the meaning of our lives.

RENEW Staff Gives to Center for Women, Children
Hope lives hereInstead of exchanging Christmas gifts with each other, members of the RENEW International staff donated diapers, baby clothes, gift cards, and other supplies to the Center for Great Expectations in Somerset, New Jersey. The center is "a safe place, a safe presence and a safe path" for homeless, pregnant, or parenting adult women and adolescents and their children to overcome, and break, the destructive generational cycle of trauma, abuse, homelessness and addiction. When we dropped off the gifts, the center's president and CEO, Peg Wright, gave us a tour and an update on the center. Please pray for the success of their important work.
